Add Memory To Laptop To Improve Its Performance

The performance of your laptop is directly dependent upon the memory of your laptop. If your computer software doesnt have sufficient memory to work with, the performance of the system as well as the software will go down. Herein, you can add memory to laptop as it is the best option to produce a significant performance improvement.

When you add or install memory into your laptop, you should know install memory cards of reliable and original manufacturers only. The selection of memory chip also depends upon model of your laptop.

Before purchasing a new memory module, you should also become aware about the memory module which will be compatible with the current memory, CPU, and motherboard of your laptop. You should also consider about the clock-speed, type, and size of the memory chipset.

Here is the procedure of adding or installing a new memory module:

1. First of all, shut down the laptop and disconnect all power cords from the laptop.

2. Separate the panel on the lower side of the laptop computer. This panel is generally used for access to the memory modules. You can use your laptop instruction manual to locate the panel.

3. Take out any screws that hold the panel in place and put all the screws somewhere safe to prevent losing them.

4. Take off the panel from the laptop computer and put it with the screws.

5. In case of upgrading or replacing an existing memory module, you should take out the memory modules by undoing clamps that hold the module in place. Now you should try to rotate module's edge to a 45-degree angle and after then pull the module out of the slot.

6. Align or straighten the notch of the memory module and insert it into the slot at a 45-degree angle.

7. When all the pins get properly aligned, try to rotate the memory module down flat till the clamps lock the module into place. Replace the panel upon the laptop computer. Replace any fasteners or screws that hold the memory access panel in place.

8. Replace the power cords and power up your laptop.

The speed of a computer system depends upon the microprocessor speed, size of RAM memory, size of cache memory, video card speed and hard drive speed. If you want to improve the speed and performance of your laptop without making any significant and expensive alterations, then add memory to laptop. It is the easiest and simplest way to upgrade your existing system.
